Edinburgh has a thriving acoustic music scene, filled with not just talented performers but many committed individuals who work tirelessly to put on vibrant and dynamic live events. Whether you’re looking to listen, perform or both; there is plenty to choose from.

Acoustic Edinburgh: A monthly showcase gig featuring some of Edinburgh’s best acoustic music.
The Ale House Open Mic: an excellent, friendly open mic running every Friday night.
Out of the Bedroom: A great open mic with a strict “originals only” policy, running every Saturday night.
Secret CDs: a project set up to promote the music of local singer/songwriters. Features a fantastic website for buying home-grown CDs, and a highly recommended monthly gig featuring four local acts.
