The Blue Blazer

Our home The Blue Blazer is a lovely, traditional Scottish pub situated just off Lothian Road, on the corner of Bread Street and Spittal Street. It was awarded “City Pub of the Year” in 2007. It’s fair to say that the staff are excellent, taking pride in their profession and being highly knowledgeable about the products they sell.
Situated half way between the Grassmarket and Lothian Road, it is known for its good choice of cask ales and malt whiskies, with an ever changing line of guest ales and a wide selection of wines and spirits. Inside there are wooden floors, pews and a selection of Edinburgh prints adorning the walls. Customers usually consist of passing trade (from the Grassmarket), regulars and some theatre goers to the Lyceum just around the corner.
On Sunday evenings you’ll find a steady flow of local singer songwriters making their way through to the back room, which lies just beyond the far side of the bar.
